1. Introduction
VOLT Performance Co. ("VOLT," "we," "us," or "our") operates the waitlist and product website at voltpouches.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you join our waitlist, participate in our referral program, or otherwise interact with our site.
VOLT is preparing to launch a line of nicotine-free, sugar-free performance pouches. The waitlist captures a limited amount of personal information so we can confirm your Founder Pass, deliver your referral link, and notify you when Batch 001 launches.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information you provide directly
When you join the waitlist, we collect information in two steps:
- Step 1 (email capture): your email address, and — if you arrived via a referral link in the format
/pass/<handle>— the referral handle of the founder who invited you. - Step 2 (Founder Pass activation): your phone number (normalized to E.164 format), your name (1–50 characters), and an optional product preference of all, energy, pump, or recover.
You may also voluntarily contact us at crew@voltpouches.com, in which case we receive your email and the contents of your message.
2b. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider's standard server logs capture your IP address, user-agent string (browser and operating system), referring URL, request path, and timestamp. We use these logs for security, debugging, and aggregate usage analysis only.
We use two browser-storage mechanisms on your device, both first-party:
sessionStorage— a snapshot of your Founder Pass record (the same fields above) used to render your post-signup dashboard without re-querying our database. Cleared when you close the browser tab.localStorage— your product pillar preference (so it persists across visits on the same device).
We do not set tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics platform.
2c. Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment information at the waitlist stage. We do not collect government-issued ID, biometric data, or precise GPS location. We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Waitlist management: assign your Founder number, generate your referral handle, track your referral count and tier.
- Communications: send you Founder Pass confirmation, referral milestone notifications, Batch 001 launch updates, and (with your consent at step 2) SMS messages about the same.
- Referral program operations: credit your account when someone signs up using your referral link, calculate tier progression, deliver tier rewards.
- Site operations: hosting, security, debugging, fraud detection, abuse prevention.
- Legal compliance: respond to lawful requests from authorities, enforce our Terms, defend against legal claims.
4. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share specific data with the following service providers, each acting as our data processor under contractual confidentiality obligations:
| Provider | What they receive | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase (database) | All fields you submit to the waitlist (email, phone, name, referral handle, referral count, tier, signup timestamp) | Primary data storage and retrieval |
| Vercel (hosting) | Server request logs: IP address, user-agent, request path, response status, function execution metadata. Path parameters may include your Founder UUID | Site hosting, edge serving, serverless function execution, logging |
| GoHighLevel (CRM) | Email, phone, name, Founder number, referral handle, referral count, current tier, dashboard URL, and limited tier-membership tags | SMS and email delivery (once activated — see SMS Terms), contact management |
| Google Fonts | Your IP address, user-agent, and the page that requested the font (Referer) | Delivers the fonts used on our site |
If we ever add a new provider that receives your personal information, we will update this list and update the "Last updated" date above.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect VOLT's rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your information (subject to lawful retention requirements).
- Export your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time (see SMS opt-out instructions in our SMS Terms; reply STOP to texts or email us for email opt-out).
To exercise any of these rights, email crew@voltpouches.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like done. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
6. California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and share, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of "sale" of personal information.
VOLT does not sell or share your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. For a detailed accounting of the data categories we collect and the service providers we share with, see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
7. EEA / UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing.
VOLT does not actively market to the EEA or UK and does not currently ship products outside the United States. However, if you reach our site and submit your information, we honor your GDPR rights. Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (waitlist signup) and our legitimate interest (preventing fraud, operating the site).
To exercise your GDPR rights or to lodge a complaint, email crew@voltpouches.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Data Retention
We retain your waitlist information for as long as you remain on the waitlist or until you ask us to delete it. After Batch 001 launches, we may retain your contact information to send product updates unless you opt out. Server logs are retained for approximately 30 days per Vercel's default retention.
If you request deletion, we will remove your record from our database and request deletion from our service providers. Some records (e.g., aggregated analytics, log entries) may persist in backups or non-personally-identifiable form.
9. Security
All traffic between your browser and our site is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Database access is restricted to authenticated VOLT systems via service-role keys; our Supabase database has Row-Level Security policies enforced. We do not store payment information.
No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue with our site, please email crew@voltpouches.com and we will investigate promptly.
10. Children's Privacy
Our site and waitlist are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at crew@voltpouches.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes that affect how we use or share your information, we will notify waitlist members by email (and SMS if active) at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
